Mercan Becomes new Turkish Ambassador to the United States

Ambassador Hasan Murat Mercan has been appointed as Turkish Ambassador to the U.S. with a presidential decree issued on the Official Gazette on December 8th. Mercan was serving as Turkish Ambassador to Japan since 2017. Ambassador Serdar Kilic, who has served as the Turkish Ambassador to the U.S. since 2014, has been reposted to headquarters in Ankara.
